Orders
The Treat Experience offers a delivery service to mainland UK. We operate on a 2 day turnaround for orders placed by 3pm, so orders placed on a Monday (before 3pm) will be dispatched on a Wednesday. You can choose from our standard couriered delivery (1-3 days), or Royal Mail next day delivery.
Please be aware, this is not a guaranteed service. If you would like your delivery to be on a Saturday or at a specified time, this is possible, but at an additional cost. Any orders placed Fridays after 3pm or Saturday/Sunday will be dispatched on the following Tuesday.
If you would like to place an order for delivery at a later date, please send us an email containing your order number to info@thetreatexperience.com. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee delivery dates through Royal Mail, so if you have a specific date in mind, we would highly recommend using our Next Day Delivery Service.
All items are subject to availability. The date and time of delivery shall not be the essence of the contract and any failure by us to make delivery on any particular date shall not entitle the customer to refuse the delivery or to claim for any expenses, loss of profits or other consequential losses whatsoever. Ownership of the goods will pass to the customer on receipt of payment and dispatch of the goods. We will inform you as soon as possible if the goods you have ordered are not available. Once The Treat Experience have dispatched the goods to our third party courier, we cannot be held responsible for any failure on their part to deliver on your chosen date. Please note that orders placed after the cut off time for your specified delivery date will be delivered as quickly as is possible but they will incur a delay.
It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure all delivery address details for the recipient given are correct, The Treat Experience cannot accept any responsibility or costs for non delivery to the intended recipient or losses in such circumstances.
The day your Treat is to be delivered, our third party couriers will attempt to deliver on our behalf between 7am and 6pm. If no one is home to receive the delivery, the courier will attempt to leave the gift in a safe place or with a neighbour. If the delivery driver decides there is no obvious safe place to leave the gift, a card will be left with instructions to rearrange delivery. The treat will be returned to their depot/hub. It is the responsibility of the recipient to make contact by calling the phone number on the card to re-deliver the Treat on another day (Monday to Friday or charges may apply). The Treat Experience cannot accept responsibility or costs for deliveries where the recipient has not initiated contact with the courier to rearrange delivery; this remains wholly the responsibility of the recipient. The Treat Experience strongly recommends that the sender advises the recipient to expect a delivery. The Treat Experience cannot accept any responsibility for the recipient failing to receive their Treat. Any costs incurred are the responsibility of the recipient. The Treat Experience cannot accept responsibility or any costs incurred as the result of a delay in delivery by the third party courier due to situations outside their control, ie. adverse weather conditions or an accident. In such cases, please contact The Treat Experience on info@thetreatexperience.com so we can feedback to our couriers, and see if there is anything further we can do to help.
Amendments can be made up to the point at which you click on ‘submit’ on the final page of our ordering process. It may be possible to amend a submitted order by contacting info@thetreatexperience.com. This is entirely at our discretion, and depends on the point in which the order is at.
We do our very best to ensure that all our products leave The Treat Experience in perfect condition. In the unlikely event you are unhappy with the product or service received please contact us via email: info@thetreatexperience.com within 24hrs of receiving the item or the expected delivery date with a picture of the goods and a description of the issue. We may ask you to return them to us in their original packaging so we can investigate the problem and rectify it or if appropriate, provide a refund. Please note compensation will not exceed the original total paid for items. Your statutory rights are unaffected.
Returns Policy
You are entitled to cancel your order within 7 working days of receipt of your goods, with the exception of products which have been opened or have passed their expiry date whilst in your possession. We must be advised by email to info@thetreatexperience.com prior to you returning any items, and you must arrange for delivery of the goods to be made back to us. The goods must be returned in a satisfactory and intact condition. Returned orders will be refunded in full within 7 days. Should you be unsatisfied in any way with your purchase or gift please contact us.
Website content
The Treat Experience has taken every care in the preparation of the content of this website, in particular to ensure that prices quoted are correct at the time of publishing and all products have been accurately and fairly described. Packaging may vary from that shown. We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the colours of our products that appear on the website, however as the actual colours you see will depend on your monitor, we cannot guarantee that your monitor’s display of any colour will accurately reflect the colour of the product on delivery. The Treat Experience reserves the right to change the decoration on each treat with an appropriate substitute of equal appeal and quality.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, The Treat Experience disclaims all warranties, express or implied, as to the accuracy of the information contained in any of the materials on this website. The Treat Experience shall not be liable to any person for any loss or damage which may arise from the use of any of the information contained in any of the materials on this website.
Ingredients
All our products are freshly made to order using the finest ingredients. Where possible we try to use natural food colouring and flavourings, however this is not always possible. Some of our products contain nuts, these are clearly noted in the descriptions. We make every effort to avoid contamination of nut based products in the kitchen, however as nuts are present and may have been present in the manufacture of our ingredients, this cannot be guaranteed. It is often possible to produce equivalent products avoiding certain ingredients, for example wheat or dairy. We may be able to remove or substitute ingredients for customers with allergies or intolerances. Please contact us at info@thetreatexperience.com prior to ordering with any allergen queries.

What do we collect and use personal information for?

Log files/IP addresses
When you visit our Site, we automatically log your IP address (the unique address which identifies your computer on the internet) which is automatically recognised by our web server. We use IP addresses to help us administer the Site and to collect broad demographic information for aggregate use. Your IP address is also logged when you make a purchase as a fraud prevention measure required by the payment gateway.
Non-personal information
We may automatically collect non-personal information about you such as the type of internet browsers you use or the site from which you linked to our Site. You cannot be identified from this information and it is only used to assist us in providing an effective service on our Site. We may from time to time supply the owners or operators of third party sites from which it is possible to link to our Site with information relating to the number of users linking to our Site from their sites. You cannot be identified from this information.
Information placed on your computer
We may store some information (commonly known as a “cookie”) on your computer when you look at our Site. This information facilitates your use of our Site and helps us to understand how our Site is used. You can erase or block cookies from your computer if you want to (your help screen or manual should tell you how to do this), but certain Bear’s Brownies services may not work correctly or at all if you set your browser not to accept cookies.
Information about products and services
It is very important to us that we provide you with the highest level of service. In order to help us do this, from time to time we may contact you using one of the contact methods you have provided, with details of our newsletters, surveys, products and services which we think may be of interest to you. If at any time you do not wish to receive these details, then send an e-mail message titled “unsubscribe” to info@thetreatexperience.com. Please note that active customers will continue to receive order and account communications from us if you have subscribed to our newsletter.
Keeping our records accurate
We aim to keep our information about you as accurate as possible. If you would like to review or change the details you have supplied us with, or you would like to remove your published Submission from the Site you may do so at any time by emailing info@thetreatexperience.com.
Security
You should be aware that the internet is an insecure environment. We have implemented technology and employee policies to help safeguard your privacy from unauthorised access and improper use. We will continue to update these measures, as appropriate, when new technology becomes available.
When you purchase goods on our Site, you will be automatically directed to a secure server site that is managed and controlled by Secure Trading (http://www.securetrading.com/). The Treat Experience will only pass information to Secure Trading via secure server software (“SSL”) to encrypt and therefore protect ordering information. All personal data that you supply to Secure Trading shall be governed by Secure Trading’s data protection and privacy policy. The Treat Experience accepts no liability for any use made by Secure Trading of such personal data.
Third party sites
We cannot be responsible for the privacy policies and practices of other third party sites, even if you access them using links from our Site and we recommend that you check the policy of each site you visit. In addition, if you linked to our Site from a third party site, we cannot be responsible for the privacy policies and practices of the owners or operators of that third party site and we recommend that you check the policy of that third party site and contact its owner or operator if you have any concerns or questions.
Unless expressly stated, we are not agents for these third party sites or for any third party advertisers on our Site, nor are we authorised to make representations on their behalf.
Disclosing your information to others
Other than the disclosures referred to in this policy, we will not disclose any personal information without your permission unless we are legally entitled or obliged to do so (for example, if required to do so by Court Order or for the purposes of prevention of fraud or other crime).
